Quick answer

Minimalist Student Dashboard is a free Google Sheets template by Plainsort for students. Every task, exam and score in one place, with your grade average worked out for you. It works on your phone in the free Google Sheets app.

Ten subjects. Forty requirements. One screen.

This is a free Google Sheets dashboard for college and high school students. Type every task with its due date. Log your scores. The top of the Dashboard shows what is due in 7 days, your next exam, what is late and your grade average so far.

Who it is for

  • College students who want to see their grade average before the term ends
  • High school students with many subjects and many deadlines
  • Students who plan on their phone between classes
  • You, if your deadlines live in five group chats

The problem it solves

Deadlines come from every subject and every group chat. You find out a task is late when it is already late, and you only see your grade at the end of the term. This dashboard puts every task in one list sorted by due date, and shows which subjects need you now.

What is inside

  • Start Here tab. Four setup steps, your school level, term, goal grade and up to 10 subjects.
  • Subject presets. College or high school. Or pick None and type your own.
  • Dashboard. Due in 7 days, next exam, late, done this week and grade average so far on top. Subjects at risk, next up sorted by due date, and your task list right under them.
  • Grades tab. Log every quiz, exam and activity score. Your percent and grade work out on their own. Add weights if your teacher uses them.
  • Grade average for college or high school. College uses units and a conversion table you can edit to match your handbook. Your official grade always wins over the estimate.
  • Fix it box. Quick answers for common problems, right inside the file.

How it works on your phone

Open the free Google Sheets app. Go to Dashboard and type a task, its due date and pick the subject. Change the status when you start or finish. Your numbers on top update on their own. No scripts, no forms and no buttons.

The setup is easier on a laptop, but daily use is made for your phone.

What you get

  • One Google Sheet with 3 tabs: Start Here, Dashboard and Grades
  • Up to 10 subjects with units and a target grade each
  • A grading table you can match to your school
  • A copy link that puts your own copy in your Google Drive
  • Email support from a real person

Questions people ask

Does it work in Excel?

It is made for Google Sheets and tested there. You can download your copy as an Excel file from the File menu, and the numbers still work. Some colours, charts or dropdowns may look different in Excel, so we only promise full support in Google Sheets.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Daily use works in the free Google Sheets app. To make your copy, open the copy link in your phone browser, not the app, because the app hides the Make a copy option.

Do I need a Google account?

Yes. A free Google account is enough.

Is the grade average official?

No. It is an estimate to guide you. Schools use different tables and weights, so copy yours from your student handbook. Type your official grade when you get it and it wins over the estimate.

What if I paid and changed my mind?

It is free, so you never have to pay. If you chose to pay something, you get a full refund within 14 days. No questions asked. Just reply to your receipt or email us.

How do I get help?

Email [email protected]. We reply within 24 hours.
